Google Pays Homage to Bram Stoker, Author of “Dracula”

Today’s “Google Doodle” depicts characters from Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel “Dracula” paying homage to the author who would’ve been 165 years old today.  “Dracula” was Stoker’s most famous novel and tells the story of vampire Count Dracula and his attempt to move from Transylvania to England and the havoc that ensued on his journey.  If you like blood suckers and pay attention to  “Vampire Diaries,” “True Blood” or “Twilight,” reading “Dracula” or even seeing the 1992 version of the movie that made it a part of popular culture might interest you. Unfortunately Stoker didn’t live to see the success of his vampire tale reach the masses. He died on April 20, 1912.
